I do not know anyone personal to those in Joplin who have had their lives turned upside down and who are suffering so much loss. I have every good intention when I log on to facebook, but everywhere I look there is so much need for those who have lost everything. It is very hard sometimes to think they we all go about our daily lives as if nothing has happened. I know we can't shut ourselves down, we must continue our daily routines, but it really breaks my heart to sit here and think they we are are playing games, posting sales, hopping from page to page and the people of Joplin and other devastated cities and towns that have been affected by tornadoes this year are just trying to get through minute by minute and day by day. I wish so much that I could get in my car and help, but my reality is that it is impossible. Honestly, I do not know where to even begin to help. We all could send items in need, but with the over whelming response that Joplin is receiving I may just wait a bit til supplies to run low. I have a garage full of yard sale stuff like clothing that I feel is just sitting there doing nobody any good. I have a ton of stockpile like soaps and deodorant that I would love to send. While I sit and read post it makes me wonder what can I do to help, even if it is just a small part, it is good to know that It will help someone who is in desperate need.
Here a few places you can follow that has been directly impacted by the tornadoes and if there is any way you can help, remember what goes around always comes around. Give your whole heart to those who's hearts have been broken.

As I find more I will try and post to share. But if you all please follow these sites maybe there is something small you may be able to help, even if it is just a pack of diapers or a can of formula for one child.
Thank you and may all of you stay safe this Memorial weekend and take a moment to remember those lives lost.
Love, Jessica
